Chicken Soup, A Bride and a Book
Barnes and Noble Chicken Soup for the Bride's Soul |
Is it ever a wonder what draws you to read a book? As Rialto High School's Class of 1996 Bookworm, I found myself searching for one who read a book the same way I read a book; like watching the same movie and reacting at the right moment the laughter and heart to heart reflection of what makes the smile a smile.
And as the Class Bookworm who actually read every book assigned at our Advanced Placement Literature class my identity performed itself accordingly. When is it seen that a girl reads because of isolation?.....NEVER!
Reading means you are in a very strong alliance with the author, the readers who agree or may find connections who disagree with the author, and are actually a present co-author for advocating a serious reflection in the writer's view. And this entitles a discussion of no isolation.
So, I found myself at Barnes and Noble and a serious section that was quite funny to find in the same isle as Sports, Pets.........the Wedding Planner and Brides Books. And why was this funny, you ask? And I do know a question arises when humor is delivered by nonisolation. It was funny.
And I realized this was a man's world. And the man decides a bride is in his midst.
And I asked myself, "Am I the Bride?"
